Is my heart beating too fast 

For those who are still trying to sleep?

Does my window out of many 

Glow and sparkle like it never has before?

Can the sinking hurt from yesterday 

Be washed away in the innocence of a sky beginning to blush blue for another day?

Do you love me?

Do the birds chirp and do the trees swing

Just so I can feel embraced, now that I am here again?

Am I alone?

Can the company of last night’s crickets 

Be replaced by the steady and full winds of today?

Because peaceful morning

I think I need another day

The cool air as I awakened 

And the excitement that filled me from it

It reminded me today

That there is another season coming
